Jack Hendry has revealed that he is open to anything next season.

The defender is enjoying a successful season in Belgium with Oostende and is under contract with Celtic until June 2022.

His form this season has attracted interest from English clubs while it is believed that Oostende have an option to make the move permanent this summer.

Celtic look certain to be in for a major rebuild this summer with defensive options thin on the ground with Jonjoe Kenny, Shane Duffy and Diego Laxalt returning to their parent clubs.

Where Hendry fits in under a new manager is anyone’s guess, speaking to BBC Scotland he said:

I’m open to anything that comes my way. It’s vital that wherever I choose next season, I need to play every week to continue my development. If Celtic want to keep me, that’s something they would need to make a decision on.

A 25-year-old getting good reviews in the Belgian Pro League would normally be the type of player that Celtic would target for a transfer but three years after moving from Dundee Hendry’s hoops career has barely got off the ground.

Like Kris Ajer, Ryan Christie and Odsonne Edouard important decisions will soon have to be made as those players enter the final year of their contracts.
