No action will be taken against the Instagram user who abused Shane Duffy.
The defender is no stranger to criticism but there are certain obvious borders that were crossed with Duffy highlighting the issue.
Clubs and the football authorities in England have raised a number of issues with Social Media platforms in England over the abuse freely given out to footballers.
Instagram have told @SkySportsNews they will take no action against a user who sent Celtic defender Shane Duffy sectarian abuse and mocked his father’s death.
They believe the abuse was an isolated incident because the user deleted the messages and apologised.

The abuse of Duffy made refence to the death of his father last year. Since joining Celtic the 29-year-old has taken plenty of football related criticism on Social Media with his form nose diving since making the move from Brighton at the start of this season.
With his loan running until the end of season he will return to Brighton in the summer where he has two years left on his current contract.
In recent weeks Duffy has mainly been used as a substitute by Celtic with Kris Ajer and Stephen Welsh the preferred partnership in central defence.
