John Kennedy has made just one change to the Celtic side that beat Aberdeen last week with Moi Elyounoussi replacing Patryk Klimala.

On the bench James Forrest is included for the first time since September with Vasilis Barkas replacing Conor Hazard as back up to Scott Bain.

Scott Bain continues in midfield ahead of Ismaila Soro with the only question mark over whether Elyounoussi plays on the left or through the centre with Odsonne Edouard.

Celtic have already beaten United twice this season but it took a late goal from substitute Albian Ajeti to settle the fixture back in August.

United are currently five points behind sixth placed St Mirren and need to win today to keep alive their chances of reaching the top half for the post-split fixtures. Last week Micky Mellon’s side drew 1-1 away to Kilmarnock.

Celtic have no match next weekend with their next fixture a Glasgow Derby on March 21

CELTIC: Bain; Kenny, Welsh, Ajer, Laxalt; Christie, Brown, McGregor; Turnbull; Elyounoussi, Edouard

SUBS: Barkas, Duffy, Griffiths, Ajeti, Klimala, Soro, Rogic, Forrest, Montomery
