Callum McGregor comes into the Scotland side to face Israel tonight with Steve Clarke making three changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Austria.

The Scotland defence remains unaltered but Ryan Fraser and Che Adams come into the side with Lyndon Dykes and Stuart Armstrong dropping down to the bench. McGregor looks like forming a central midfield alongside Scott McTominay with John McGinn in a more advanced role.

Tonight is the fourth meeting of the countries this season with two draws at Hampden followed by a 1-0 win for Israel on home soil in November.

While Scotland were drawing 2-2 with Austria on Thursday Israel were losing 2-0 at home to Denmark, anything less than a win tonight will put them as rank outsiders to qualify just two matches into the campaign.

On Wednesday Scotland complete their international commitments with a home match against the Faroe Isles. Greg Taylor hasn’t made the bench for either of this month’s matches.

SCOTLAND: Marshall; Hendry, Hanley, Tierney; O’Donnell, McTominay, McGinn, McGregor, Robertson; Fraser, Adams

SUBS: Gordon, McLaughlin, Dykes, Armstrong, Christie, Fleck, Gallagher, McKenna, Nisbet, McBurnie, Considine, McLean
