Enzo Maresca has been tipped to become the next manager of Celtic.

The claim was made by Nicolo Schira who is a Spanish based transfer expert with 119k followers on Twitter.

Whether he is picking up on rumours from Scotland or has got the inside track on the Manchester City Development coach remains to be seen.

Neil Lennon resigned on February 23 but the appointment of a manager is likely to wait until a Director of Football is installed.

Fergal Harkin, current the Head of Football Partnerships at Manchester City seems to be a leading candidate which leads on to Maresca.

The 41-year-old Italian started his playing career at West Brom but went on to play for Juventus, Fiorentina and Sampdoria before moving into coaching.

Last summer he joined Manchester City but there are strong signs that less than a year later he could head up Celtic’s new look management team.
