The SPFL has announced a new batch of post split Premiership dates to account for the Scottish Cup getting priority over the closing weeks of the season.

This afternoon the SFA announced a revised schedule for the Scottish Cup which has been stuck at the Second Round stage since January.

There are only two rounds of fixtures left to play before the SPFL reaches the 33 match point with next weekend March 14/15 already blank as it had been left for the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Late this afternoon the SPFL announced:

Rd 34 – 10/11 April (weekend)

Rd 35 – 20/21 April (midweek)

Rd 36 – 1/2 May (weekend)

Rd 37 –  11/12 May (midweek)

Rd 38 – 15/16 May (weekend)

There main interest after the split is likely to be in the bottom half of the table with four or more clubs likely to be involved in the scrap to avoid relegation and the Play-Off place.

With the Scottish Cup back on John Kennedy has extra matches that he could be in charge for including a possible third Glasgow Derby which could be influential on whether he retains a place next season under the new structure.
