Celtic fans are bracing themselves for the departure of Scott Brown.

For over a decade they have enjoyed the Broony driving the club on to an incredible run of domestic success.

Under successive managers the Fifer has been given the armband and led his team-mates up the steps at Hampden to pick up trophies or been handed the SPFL title on the centre circle at Celtic Park.

All good things come to an end with the story in the Daily Record expecting Brown to be named as part of the new Aberdeen management team in the next 48 hours.

Over the last couple of seasons there has been plenty of discussion over whether Brown deserved his place in the Celtic side or who should be his successor. In July reality will arrive.

In January 2017 Eboue Kouassi was a potential successor, a year later it could have been John McGinn, since December Ismaila Soro has looked a potential replacement for the 35-year-old.

Whoever replaces Neil Lennon has a massive rebuilding task on his hands, finding a captain and replacing a legend is one more task on that lengthy To Do list.
