In just his second appearance for Queens Park, Luca Connell has scored his first senior goal.
Between his appearances against Stranraer and Albion Rovers the teenage midfielder returned to the international stage, helping Ireland’s u-21 side to a win over Wales in Wrexham.
Connell was restored to the Queens Park side that had beaten Brechin in his absence and repaid Ray McKinnon with a brilliant goal on the half hour mark to put Queens 2-0 in front.

Last night’s 3-0 win puts Queens seven points clear at the top of League Two after playing 12 matches, a total of 18 matches are scheduled with the top five then playing each other once in a split similar to the Premiership.
After 20 months in cold storage following his move from Bolton to Celtic there will be no meaningless fixtures for Connell as he catches up on lost time.
With Hampden Park now out of bounds Queens take on Stirling Albion on Saturday at the Falkirk Stadium with one young Celt looking to build on the momentum of the last fortnight.
