Slavia Prague goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar was the victim of an incredible assault from Kemar Roofe at Ibrox last night.
Just past the hour mark Kolar raced towards the edge of his penalty box to collect a long back. Roofe was the clear second favourite to win the ball but seeing the approach of the 6ft 3 keeper he made a decision his opponent quickly regretted.
Rather than try to jump forward to head the ball away from the keeper Roofe raised his leg, bent his knee, leaving his boot in the path of Kolar as the two men collided.
This is what happens when your players having been getting away with this in the league all season. This is more than a red card. It’s assault. pic.twitter.com/IRyvDavhsa

It was a sickening clash obvious to everyone watching on BT Sport. Alex Rae and Stephen Craigan both went into full deflection mode.
As the keeper lay on the ground referee Orel Grinfeeld reached for the red card with Roofe showing no concern for his grounded opponent.
Pictures emerged soon afterwards of the extent of the damage to the keeper, after five minutes of treatment he was stretchered off the park with Slavia’s back-up enjoying a quiet evening as his side won 2-0 on the night to go through 3-1 on aggregate.
