Kris Boyd’s extremely limited knowledge of football is extending beyond the Scottish game.
Leeds United will never win any popularity contests outside of Yorkshire but under Marcelo Bielsa they do play a brand of football that is respected and admired.
The veteran Argentinian has managed all over the world, sticking to his attacking beliefs and finally ended Leeds exile from the top flight with promotion last season.
A top half placing looks very likely with Bielsa not sacrificing any of his beliefs to park the bus in the way that Alex McLeish and Walter Smith did with Boyd usually left stuck on the bench for any meaningful match.
Perhaps it was in a bid to be viewed as a controversial character that Boyd decided to have a go at Leeds but all it did was to confirm his status as the Village Idiot on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday.
Jeff Stelling and the other pundits were lapping up Boyd’s stupidity while fan shared their views online.
To back up Boyd’s judgement Leeds won 2-1 yesterday away to Manchester City.
