James Forrest has been given an additional 23 hours to prove his fitness for Celtic’s Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox.

The Fourth Round tie was scheduled for 4pm on Saturday but due to a funeral in England it has been put back a day with a 3pm kick off time on Sunday.

Forrest made a huge impact again in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Livingston but had to come off after 58 minutes with stiffness in his back and a tightness in his hamstring.

The winger had been out of action for five months due to an ankle injury with Celtic having to assess the extent of the knock on Sunday and Monday.

Forrest only managed a brief run out in the March Derby fixture, if fully fit he will give John Kennedy a new option to use against Steven Gerrard’s defence.

Following the Ibrox match Celtic are off to Aberdeen on Wednesday where Scott Brown will get a close up view of next season’s team-mates. Aberdeen’s cup match against Livingston has been brought forward to 5.30pm on Saturday and will be shown by Premier Sports.
