Chris Sutton has a word of warning for Celtic fans wanting a preview of next season’s side.

A massive turnover of players is expected in the summer but finding the players that will still be around for next season isn’t so easy.

Kris Ajer, Albian Ajeti and Vasilis Barkas dropped out of the squad for last night’s match at Aberdeen and suddenly the bench included Dane Murray, Adam Montgomery and Karamoko Dembele with all three still to start a match.

Captaining the side was Scott Brown who’ll be switching dug-out next time he is at Pittodrie while Jonjoe Kenny and Moi Elyounoussi will be returning to the EPL next month.

The make up of next season’s Celtic side really is anyone’s guess starting from the dug-out with who will be in charge.

It is more than two months since Neil Lennon resigned, little has come out of the club with Dom McKay yet to say anything officially after four days shadowing Peter Lawwell.

In less than three months Celtic will be entering the Champions League qualifiers, before that there will be pre-season matches for the new boss to make his mark.

With a glass half full approach the next manager will almost have a blank canvas as the post Quadruple Treble era gets underway.
