Gordon Parks of the Daily Record believes that heads will roll at Celtic with Gavin Strachan a likely casualty.

When Damien Duff left during Lockdown the club brought in the Peterborough assistant to work alongside Neil Lennon and John Kennedy.

As the season disintegrated into chaos the casualties fell one by one. Peter Lawwell announced his retirement at the age of 61, Neil Lennon resigned with the uncertainty making Aberdeen a more attractive option for Scott Brown.

The identity of the new manager and his backroom staff is open to debate but speaking on the Record Celtic Podcast Parks (3 minutes 30 seconds) predicted at least one casualty.

My own belief is that John Kennedy, his coaching ability is of such high regard within Celtic that there will be a place for him. Gavin Strachan, maybe not so much. I think he hasn’t been sold to the Celtic fans, they’ll be wanting to take as many bodies as possible to make up for the catastrophe of the season, there will have to be heads rolling and Gavin Strachan could be one but Kennedy appears to me to be in with the bricks with Celtic.

Kennedy has been linked with the Sporting Director role that will provide the link between new CEO Dom McKay and the first team manager but it is hard to see any role for Strachan who is in his first season coaching in Scottish football.
