James Forrest seems to be in with a chance of being involved in Sunday’s Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox.
The winger started his first SPFL match in seven months against Livingston last Saturday but had to come off after 58 minutes.
There was no obvious pull or injury but after a dazzling display it was a blow to see Forrest come off after his lengthy spell out of action.
?? JK on James Forrest: “He’s came on reasonably well in the week. We got a bit of work in to him yesterday and he had a down day today just to recover. We’ll have a go at him tomorrow to see where he’s at.”#ScottishCup

After the win over Livi Kennedy mentioned a tightening of the back and stiffness in the hamstring area. Forrest suffered an ankle injury in September which ruled him out for the bulk of the season.
After such a lengthy lay off Celtic won’t be prepared to take any risks on Forrest at Ibrox, a further injury would almost certainly end his season and put his place in the Scotland squad at the European Championships in doubt.
