After four Derby matches without a win Chris Sutton is looking forward to a return to normal service at Ibrox today.

In 2017 and 2018 Celtic overpowered their city rivals in Scottish Cup semi-finals, at Ibrox today the two clubs meet looking for a place in the quarter-final draw at home to St Johnstone.

This season has been one of misery for Celtic fans, results wise the rot set in when they lost the October Derby without registering a shot on goal.

The early season warnings came true with that result setting off a run of four successive home defeats- a run that Celtic haven’t endured since the fifties.

By the time Neil Lennon’s side went first footing to Ibrox they were in the Last Chance Saloon with an own goal from Callum McGregor downing the 10 men.

Last month Celtic salvaged something in a 1-1 home draw that prevented a whitewash. This afternoon a repeat of the 2-0 away win at Ibrox in September 2019 will salvage something from the season and perhaps go some way towards ‘normal service’.
