Celtic’s Scottish Cup tie at Ibrox on Saturday looks certain to be moved from its 4pm kick off slot.

That time was selected by Premier Sport for live TV coverage but will almost certainly be moved due to a funeral in England.

This afternoon the SFA announced:

In light of confirmation that the funeral of HRH Prince Philip will take place next Saturday at 3pm, we have entered dialogue with the relevant stakeholders with regard to Scottish Cup Fourth Round fixtures scheduled on that day.  We will update participating clubs, supporters and partners in due course.

With the ties spread over the full weekend there is scope to move the game with considerations with Police Scotland likely to be most important.

There is a full card of SPFL fixtures on April 21 but the Ibrox clash could be switched to Saturday lunchtime or any time on Sunday.

Celtic go into the match on the back of their best domestic result of the season, beating Livingston 6-0 at home in the first post-split fixture.

Moi Elyounoussi led the way with a double, James Forrest, David Turnbull and Ryan Christie were also on target as well as an own goal which Scott Brown tried to claim.

The one down side of the day was the sight of Forrest going off after 58 minutes with the club concerned after his five month absence with today his first starting appearance in the SPFL since September.
