Steven Gerrard was in one of his favourite places this morning- his high horse.

Since Day 1 at Ibrox he has been given free reign to shout out the most ridiculous and far-fetched conspiracies from the darkest corners of Social Media.

On his debut at Aberdeen he informed the media that match officials has always had it in for the club formed by Charles Green in 2012. The SFA took no action.

Gerrard has been kept in his own bubble ever since, anyone granted media access know the boundaries and the consequences.

When John Kennedy highlighted a few inconsistencies in his conference with the daily newspapers yesterday it was a cut and dried case.

The SFA took 48 hours to postpone two Celtic matches and a further 16 days to suspend Boli Bolingoli for three matches. When Nathan Patterson and his pals got Fixed Penalties the SFA went into hibernation.

No matches were postponed, after 18 days Young Patterson was being pushed for a place in the Scotland squad without a murmur of comment about the lax attitude of the SFA. In August all sorts of demands were being put forward to punish Celtic.

Throughout this season the issues of the pandemic have escaped Ibrox. In October the SFA forced Ryan Christie to self-isolate despite the player claiming to have followed the protocols.

Celtic’s January trip to Dubai was misguided, either the manager or CEO should have looked at the bigger picture and called it off even though it was approved by the SFA and Scottish Government. When they returned new protocols ruled out 13 players, the manager and assistant for two matches.

On March 6 and 7 there were multiple rule breaks at Ibrox and Murray Park. Players ran to a gate after beating St Mirren to interact with fans on non-essential journeys. Gerrard screamed out the dressing room window to fans breaking the law.

On the Sunday players performed as if they were in a circus to fans crushed against a fence at Murray Park. Boozed up players danced around then left the state-of-the-art training complex in shared cars.

NOT A WORD WAS SAID BY THE SFA, maybe they are waiting till June to investigate those events, maybe they will just move on for the good of Scottish football and Young Patterson.
