Alan Nixon has left the door open over whether Eddie Howe is about to become the next Celtic manager.
On Thursday The Sun reported on face-to-face talks between the former Bournemouth boss and Celtic duo Dermot Desmond and Dom McKay.
With Howe a free agent there are less complications in coming up with a contract with Celtic fans anxious for a message of intent from the club.
‘Been talking for a couple days now’ could mean that talks are advancing or that there is a stumbling block that hasn’t been overcome.
Been talking seriously for a couple of days now … https://t.co/CNQzwyaum5

Nixon is from Glasgow but is based in the north west of England where he has built up a reputation as something of a transfer guru.
Recently he has splashed with links between Celtic and Roy Keane but there was never anything as detailed as reports of face-to-face talks.
Nothing has officially come out of Celtic other than a Q and A with Dermot Desmond that gave little away but with Season Ticket renewals due soon the fans will require signs that the club is taking the summer rebuild seriously.
