Steven Gerrard has hit back at John Kennedy’s comments about the SFA’s delayed punishments of five Ibrox Covidiots.

In the early hours February 14 Nathan Patterson, four team-mates and five others were given Fixed Penalties by Police Scotland for attending an illegal House Party.

Back in August Celtic had two matches postponed after Boli Bolingoli failed to self-isolate following a trip to Spain. Within 18 days the defender was suspended for three matches.

Amazing Patterson and his team-mates waited 44 days before they were handed three match suspensions by the SFA. After putting in an appeal the SFA will sit on April 20- more than two months after the offences to hear the appeal.

Following Celtic’s trip to Dubai 13 players were forced to self-isolate by the SFA, missing two matches and being short of training for a third.

In October Ryan Christie was ordered to self-isolate after being identified as a close contact of Stuart Armstrong during a Scotland get together with the midfielder missing the October Glasgow Derby.

Kieran Tierney was also identified as a close contact but Arsenal ignored the self-isolate instruction and played Tierney while Christie sat at home.

Following the 3-0 win over St Mirren Gerrard and other players were seen drinking in public and shouting out of the Dressing Room window to fans illegally gathered outside the stadium, no action has been taken by Police Scotland or the SFA.
