Celtic could have two chances to cash in on Arsenal’s summer rebuild.

Mikael Arteta started the new season with the FA Cup and Community Shield but after failing to qualify for Europe in his first full season in charge he faces a make-or-break summer.

Like Celtic every area of the side is in need of fresh surgery with Kieran Tierney one of the few success stories although that has come at a price with other clubs starting to show interest in the former Hoops defender.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyand and Alexandre Lacazette have only delivered 23 goals combined in the EPL this season with a 50% hike on that figure needed next season if Arsenal are to push for a Champions League place.

Discussing their striking options this summer, The Sun reports:

Lyon forward Dembele, 24, has spent the second half of the season on loan at Atletico Madrid but is yet to score for the LaLiga leaders. Still yet to start for his new club, the Frenchman can move for a pre-agreed £30million fee in the summer but his poor form and fitness issues make that an increasingly unlikely option.

Dembele remains under contract at Lyon for another two years yet is reportedly available for around £25m should Atleti let him go. A slightly cheaper option, at around £15m to £20m, is said to be Celtic star Edouard. The SPFL runners-up may seek to cash in on the 23-year-old ahead of his contract expiring in 2022.

Celtic sold Moussa Dembele to Lyon in the summer of 2018 with a reported sell-on clause of 10% above the £20m fee that they picked up.

Odsonne Edouard’s transfer seems inevitable as he enters the final year of his contract with Paris Saint Germain due a substantial stake on any fee above the £9m that Celtic paid in 2018.
