Kieran Tierney has joined in the tributes for Celtic’s departing skipper Scott Brown.

The midfielder has three more matches left to play for the club that he has served across three decades, delivering a trophy haul as skipper that only Billy McNeill has bettered.

Brown has a few more battles to get through before he signs off as a Celtic player at Easter Road, appropriately enough the club that swapped him for a £4.5m cheque in 2007.

Since his move to Celtic Brown has held his place through a variety of changes in the dressing room and made a positive impact on almost all of them.

Gordon Strachan signed the midfielder, Tony Mowbray handed him the captaincy with Neil Lennon, Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers putting their trust and faith in him throughout their time at the club with John Kennedy preparing to wave him off to Aberdeen.

Brown was Tierney’s captain throughout his time at Celtic before his club record transfer to Arsenal in 2019 for £25m.
