Poetry may be something of a dying art but one Celtic fans has brought in gloriously back to life in honour of Scott Brown following his final home appearance.

Every aspect of the Fifer’s Celtic career is covered in a passionate address delivered with the same feeling and commitment that Brown has put in to every appearance over 14 trophy filled years.

Reading through a poem it can take a bit of time to catch fire but delivered orally the unknown fan brings Broony’s achievements to fantastically to life.

He’s got 11 men trembling, 60,000 are assembling. It’s a war when Brown’s on the pitch, he’s got an itch for silverware, there’s fire in the air.

Last night it was farewell time to the man that wore the armband throughout nine title successes and four Treble Triumphs. Celtic had previously won trebles in 1967, 1969 and 2001, as he heads north-east to Aberdeen one player has surpassed all that.

There is one more fixture for Broony to complete, back at Easter Road on Sunday where it all started. At some stage next season he’ll be playing against Celtic, no doubt with the same passion, commitment and energy as inspired the poem above.
