Chris Sutton has warned Ally McCoist and Daryl Currie to look out for a Brendan Rodgers style revival from Celtic next season.

The former Bournemouth boss was reported to have held face-to-face talks with Dermot Desmond and Dom McKay but more than a month on there has been nothing to suggest that a deal was struck.

The chances are Celtic are plotting, there must be an announcement soon because we are nearly into next season.
(to Ally McCoist) You just drop down a gear, because Celtic could be plotting, and all of a sudden another Brendan Rodgers figure could be unleashed to blow Rangers away, there could be more trebles.
It looks like, it looks like WOW, WOW you’ve got to say Eddie Howe doesn’t it. It may be some issue with his Bournemouth contract, I don’t know but they must have been putting plans in place because the overhaul of the playing staff which is clearly, clearly required so I would be shocked if business isn’t being done behind the scenes
So it looks like there is some contractual issue somewhere along the line but it will come, and when it comes you two, just you wait, just you wait.
Celtic have two matches left to play this season, winding up their nightmare campaign at Easter Road on May 15.
