Jack Hendry’s Celtic future could be decided tomorrow.

The defender is with the Scotland squad in Spain but May 31 is Decision Day for Oostende on whether they wish to convert his successful loan into a permanent move.

When Hendry moved out on loan last summer there was barely a murmur from Celtic fans but after 27 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League he appears to be in demand after catching the eye of English scouts as Oostende pushed for a European place,

On 7 May the Daily Record reported:

KV Oostende have the option to buy Hendry by the end of the month for a bargain basement price of around £1.5million.

With reports of interest from English clubs Oostende could take up that option and sell Hendry for an instant profit.

If they let the option pass by Hendry has 12 months left on his Celtic deal with no one clear who will be in charge and who will be making decisions on players as Peter Lawwell retires from his role as CEO.

Dundee are likely to have a sell-on clause in the £1.2m transfer fee that they agreed with Celtic for Hendry in January 2018.
