Celtic fans have been screaming out for some form of communication from inside the club- they got that today from long serving non-executive director Brian Wilson in the Herald but it didn’t go down very well.
The former Labour MP regularly makes attacks on the Scottish Government, today he brought in a football theme but it had nothing to do with Celtic.
With a horrendous season finishing with the club trailing 25 points behind in second place and no sign of a manager other footballing thoughts have been concerning Wilson.
The scenes from Glasgow city centre on Saturday shocked everyone with any sense of responsibility with the focus firmly on the law-breakers attached to the club from Ibrox.
Bizarrely on Tuesday night they leaked correspondence of how the Scottish Government rejected their plan to allow 10,000 into Ibrox while well run pubs and restaurants aren’t allowed to serve alcohol with food.
For reasons best known to himself, Wilson backed the Ibrox plan to host a super-spreader event against all of the known science. Equally he claimed that actions should have been taken to avoid the carnage in and around George Square.
It seems that one Celtic director has more interest in defending the events of Saturday than speaking to fans of his own club, getting even 2,000 supporters back into grounds or even letting fans know how the 11-week search for a new manager is getting on.

‘Why did the Scottish Government not act last Friday to limit the public health damage from the Rangers party?’ https://t.co/rlGHY0iViI

Brian Wilson trying to use this as political point scoring.. utterly shameful.. so it’s the government’s fault for not allowing them into ibrox that caused the fighting, the assaults, the damage, the social distancing during a pandemic… oh and let’s not forget the sectarianism

This guy (Wilson) should have zero involvement with our club. A pathetic joke figure of a man. @CelticFC #Celtic https://t.co/chpr2l09eF

Worse than a tory. Sold out the working class for tory lite power.

Oh look another ? this time courtesy of a #Celtic director playing politics as usual – if only he spoke out about Res12, 5 way agreement, SFA and corruption in the game ? https://t.co/VU8TJDtjry

As a mate just said to me – they’re not called the old firm for nothing

The Celtic board certainly don’t represent the fans views

It’s a look elsewhere reference rather than the main point – like a dog would be distracted if he/she seen a squirrel

Been at club for 15 years. Another nodding dog. Surprised he was not at George Square on Saturday with his fellow unionists.
