Not even a tweet about Seville could deflect the attention away from the managerless state of their club.
If anything, a reminder of where the club was 18 years ago today only highlighted the situation that the club is currently in.
True season 2002/03 finished trophyless but for most fans it rates as one of the most enjoyable of their lifetime. It had been over 20 years since they had watched European football after Christmas, by beating teams from England and Spain Martin O’Neill’s team did just that.
Having Henrik Larsson, John Hartson and Chris Sutton helped spread the scoring burden, this season a French u-21 internationalist has been virtually on his own in the forward line.
There are a couple of announcements that Celtic fans are wanting to hear about. Obviously, with Sunday making it three months since Neil Lennon resigned, his replacement is eagerly awaited.
Hearing from Dom McKay would also be welcomed, arriving on a ticket of fan engagement a month ago he has yet to say a word in public about his role.
And of course, there are Season Tickets. Extra value on the season ended is still awaited, what the plans are for next season will be complicated but staying silent doesn’t build up trust after the most disappointing season this century.
? You can take us anywhere, we won’t let you down ?
80,000 #CelticFC supporters travelled to Seville for the UEFA Cup Final 18 years ago today! ?

Oh, stop this!
Trying to play to the gallery with childish messages when we all know it’s just about getting fans onside to buy more season tickets.
Absolute clowns in Celtic media led by the clown’s clown Gerry McCulloch.

Dear McKay and Desmond – let’s make sure it’s not another 18 years before we do this again.

Shame the charlatans on the board at Celtic treat their supporters/customers with nothing short of contempt.
