Scotland striker in bother over attack on fan as footage emerges

Oli McBurnie could be the subject of a police investigation after footage emerged over what looks like a daylight attack on a fan.

The Sheffield United striker was out and about in Knaresbrough when he got into a verbal confrontation then decided to take matters into his own hands.

McBurnie is currently out of action due to a foot injury and looks certain to miss out on playing for Scotland at the European Championships which begin in a month’s time.

Sheffield United have launched an investigation into the incident. Whatever approach they take it doesn’t look good when a £20m asset missing with a foot injury is filmed in the circumstances above.

In the two seasons since his transfer from Swansea, McBurnie has scored seven goals in the EPL from 59 appearances.
