Yesterday, after an incredible, orchestrated media effort, Nathan Patterson was named in the Scotland squad for the European Championships.
After THREE starts in the SPFL supplemented by four appearances off the bench the 19-year-old has been named by Steve Clarke in his 26 man squad for the tournament which kicks off for Scotland on June 14 at home to the Czech Republic.

It has certainly been a meteoric rise for the Murray Park starlet who had played 24 minutes of SPFL football until James Tavernier was injured against Royal Antwerp on February 18.
Unfortunately Patterson had been caught by Police Scotland at an illegal House Party four days earlier and given a Fixed Penalty along with four of his team-mates.
Despite postponing two Celtic matches and suspending Boli Bolingoli just 18 days after he broke the protocols the SFA waited more than two months before suspending Patterson for four matches. No matches were postponed.
Inbetween times he had taken on the Golden Boy tag vacated by Young McCrorie who is now treading water at Aberdeen.
In anticipation of his Scotland call-up and taking advantage of his recent four match ban Patterson joined his English pals Tavernier and Connor Goldson breaking the Law of the Land on Saturday at a House Party in Stirling.
Rangers players again breaking covid laws. I wonder what will @scotgov @ScottishFA say about it? pic.twitter.com/Da5vwmESSV
