Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox stars enjoy the return of indoor boozing

On Friday afternoon pub owners across Glasgow were informed that they won’t be able to serve alcohol indoors from Monday. A spike in positive results across the city meant that the first pints of 2021 would have to wait.

At Ibrox that ruling was ignored as the players and management enjoyed an afternoon lock-in following the final SPFL match of the season.

All of the bars inside football stadiums are licenced by Glasgow City Council. On the back of their incredible virus testing results through the season it seems that those inside Ibrox have developed an immunity to the Law of the Land as well as the pandemic.

Back in January there was a national uproar as Scott Brown and Neil Lennon were pictured enjoying a legal drink in Dubai.

In March Steven Gerrard screamed out a Dressing Room window to law-breakers after a win over St Mirren. No action was taken, the following day boozed up players shared cards and a party-bus out of Murray Park.

No action was taken by Ian Maxwell or Nicola Sturgeon.
