are waiting on an update on the injury suffered by Jack Hendry during Saturday’ 6-2 win over Liege.

The on loan defender was the victim of a brutal challenge from Mehdi Carcela early in the second half of the match which will decide ’s European participants for next season.

While Hendry kept his eye on the ball for a challenge near the halfway line his opponents arrived late and dangerously sunk his studs into Hendry’s lower leg as the ball was cleared.

Carcela was given a but the damage to Hendry could keep him out of action for longer than the suspension that the Liege forward will serve.

Last season Hendry suffered a knee injury on loan at Melbourne City but recovered sufficiently to earn a loan move to Oostende which has brought him back into the international squad.

Hendry has a year left on his Celtic contract but it has been widely reported that Oostende have an option to sign him with a number of English clubs reported to be keen on the defender.
