West Ham are hopeful that they will be able to bring fans to their friendly with Celtic on Saturday July 24.

Around 1,000 St Mirren fans watched their side lose to the Hoops on 7 March 2020 but since then there has been the sound of silence at every match staged at Celtic Park.

In the EPL clubs were allowed upto 10,000 fans at their final home fixtures with 500 supporters allowed into the SPFL Play Off matches.

With Hampden Park hosting 12,500 fans for four matches at the European Championships crowds are expected to be back at Celtic Park from July.

On their club website, West Ham state:

Should protocols allow, West Ham United will be given an allocation of away tickets for this fixture. Full details will follow in due course here on whufc.com.

Celtic will host Preston North End in a friendly the previous week with a home Champions League qualifier either the midweek before or after.

The new Celtic boss will get to know his squad during a pre-season training camp in Wales where three closed doors matches will be played against Charlton, Bristol City and one still to be confirmed opponent.
