AC Milan have apparently dropped their interest in Kris Ajer.
The defender announced today that he expects to leave Celtic having struck an understanding with the club last summer. Ajer has 12 months left to run on his Celtic deal.
Last year there was a number of speculative stories linking the Italian giants with Ajer who played twice against Milan in the Europa League.
In addition to this, @SkySport understands AC Milan have now ended their long-standing interest in Kris Ajer as they work on the buyout clause for Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori. https://t.co/5UmSd9WNVG

Ajer joined Celtic in the spring of 2016 as a central defender but after being converted into a central defender he spent the second half of the 2016/17 season on loan at Kilmarnock.
Since returning to Celtic Ajer has grown in influence, playing alongside Dedryck Boyata, Jozo Simunovic, Chris Jullien, Shane Duffy and most recently Stephen Welsh.
Norwich and Newcastle have been linked with putting bids in this week but with no manager or Head of Football Operations in place it’s unclear who will be making any decisions inside Celtic.
