The Celtic Store has reacted to Social Media criticism by ditching their blue Adidas Glasgow top and knocking £1 off the similar Dublin shirt.

Hoops fans weren’t amused when what looked very similar to an early nineties Rangers shirt appeared on the Celtic website. Fair enough it was from Adidas but there wouldn’t be much demand from Celtic fans at a price of £55.

A similar Dublin shirt in green was also on sale, it seems that pressure from fans has taken the price down to £54.

In their first season of a five-year partnership with Celtic, Adidas have barely put a foot wrong. All three kits were warmly welcomed, as was the assortment of training kit with barely a single complaint being heard.

Unfortunately the form of the team saw merchandise sales crash with much of the kit available at heavily discounted prices.

The 2021/22 kits have still to be released but last season’s kit set a high benchmark with fans certain to splash out again to be early with the new kit.
