Dermot Desmond was remined of his role in Celtic’s 101 day failure to find a new manager to succeed Neil Lennon.

The Irish businessman makes fleeting visits to Celtic Park, despite being the biggest individual shareholder he hasn’t attended an AGM for over a decade.

Entertaining celebrity friends at games is more his style but since picked up three points in December Celtic Park hasn’t hosted and of football’s elite.

Back on March 23 Desmond provided a very vague interview to the Celtic website without giving away any real information or detail about the search for a new manager.

It seems that the whole focus was on Eddie Howe with Ange Postecoglou Plan B after the former boss turned down Celtic’s approach.

Whether Desmond will be on hand to welcome the Australian into the #celticfamily remains to be seen but from the Green Brigade banners it seems that the Irishman and are being held responsible for the on-going shambles at Celtic.
