The incoming CEO has been inside Celtic Park since April 19 but has yet to utter a word in public about the job.
McKay has been shadowing Peter Lawwell for the past five weeks but come July 1 he will be inheriting a number of issues headed up by the likely appointment of Ange Postecoglou.
Whether he likes it or not the Australian, or Plan C will be on McKay’s watch as he steps up to be responsible for every aspect of Celtic from the business side to the dug-out and onto the pitch.

McKay built a reputation at the SRU for communications and fan engagement with both of those issues in need of attention inside Celtic Park.
The main issue however will always be what is happening on the park, after the season just ended Celtic needs rebuilt in almost every area with today’s banner a reminder to McKay that he is moving into a very different ball game.
