There wouldn’t be a Celtic fan alive that wouldn’t want to eavesdrop on a conversation between a Frenchman, a Dutchman and a Belgian.

The mysteries of the season just ended are never likely to see the light of day with umpteen theories and conspiracies around to explain how it all went wrong.

When Boli Bolingoli caught up with Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard it is unlikely that they would have spent too much time discussing how three trophies were lost with an embarrassing 25 point gap at the end of the SPFL season.

Frimpong and Edouard will have a Scottish Cup winners medal to show for a season behind closed doors, when they lifted the trophy at Hampden Bolingoli was recovering from a knee operation which curtailed his Turkish loan at Istanbul Basaksehir.

Travel and Bolingoli will be one of the main factors that are discussed in the years to come, his early season trip to Spain put Celtic on the back foot and an unwelcome spotlight on the club.

Frimpong and Edouard were on the ill-fated Dubai trip, by the end of January the young full-back had left for Bayer Leverkusen with Edouard likely to be following him out the door in another £10m plus transfer.

Back in Glasgow Ange Postecoglou is picking up the pieces, his review of the season recently ended would also make for highly interesting reading.
