Celtic fans weren’t really in the mood to bask on the reflected glory of an international friendly played in an empty stadium.

For those looking in on the action from Portugal last night there was a very obvious Celtic connection in the side that Steve Clarke started off with in the 2-2 draw.

The opportunity proved too much for Celtic’s Social Media team to resist as they tried to deflect attention away from the lack of a manager and leadership at the club.

Clarke’s side was almost a get together for Celtic’s Invincible side, highlighting the fall from grace that the club has endured since Craig Gordon, Stuart Armstrong and Kieran Tierney lined up for the 2017 Scottish Cup Final.

Claiming Andy Robertson as an Academy Graduate is another reminder of the failings inside the club with a future Champions League winner not offered a professional contract after years at the club.

Jack Hendry scored the opening goal last night, a year ago he was deemed surplus to requirements at Celtic with some reports claiming that Oostende have taken up their option to sign the defender on a permanent basis.
