After six weeks shadowing Peter Lawwell, Dom McKay made his first visit to Twitter as he prepares to take over as CEO.

Congratulating Celtic’s Ladies team on finishing second behind Glasgow City brought a flood of comments from Celtic fans, not much of it related to the 8-0 win over Motherwell Ladies.

Ten days after the club announced that they had failed to convince Eddie Howe to take the manager’s job Celtic seem to be chasing Ange Postecoglou who is currently managing Yokohama Marinos.

Unless the Australian is currently on route to Scotland he will be absent from Celtic’s pre-season training which starts on June 17 at Lennoxtown.

Lawwell is still in charge of everything inside Celtic Park but in just over three weeks McKay will be thrust into the spotlight and held accountable for the 100 plus days spent trying to find a replacement for Neil Lennon.

The club has been giving the Ladies team plenty of attention on their news channels, that will run for a few more days but eyes are on McKay to see if he has new ideas and direction for the club rather than a new face and voice serving up the same tired and out-of-date menu.
