While Celtic’s non-internationalists returned to training yesterday Leigh Griffiths joined the team at Open Goal to prepare for the England v Scotland match at Wembley.
The striker has been keen to share Social Media images of his close season training routine but while Nir Bitton, Albian Ajeti, Ismaila Soro and Tom Rogic were being put through the joys of pre-season training Griff was cracking gags with Si Ferry, Paul Slane and Kevin Kyle.
Griffiths will be out of contract on June 30 but after telling Sky Sports about his phone call from Ange Postecoglou it looked like he might be in line for another contract.
The Australian is expected at Lennoxtown next week to start formalising his plans for the season starting with a three match trip to Wales beginning on July 4.
By that stage the future of Griffiths will be clearer, if he hasn’t signed up with Celtic as a free agent he can look elsewhere with a month to go before the SPFL season gets underway.
