The twice-a-year Alfredo Morelos transfer trail is up and running with Porto linked/keeping tabs/preparing a bid for the Ibrox ace.

Morelos moved to Ibrox in 2017 and has been tipped for a move from his first transfer window when a mystery Chinese club were linked with an £8m bid. I never happened.

In the season just finished the Colombian’s goal return was reduced with his two red cards both of the retrospective variety following honest mistakes from Scottish referees.

Porto are now being linked with a bid with the speculation apparently surfacing in Portuguese publisher A Bola.

The Daily Record and Sun were quick to pick up on the report which seems based on Morelos’ agent making a trip to Portugal.

All the usual items are included as the Ibrox club try to get their first meaningful fee with the £1.75m raised by selling Josh Windass to Sheffield Wednesday in 2018 the top fee received.

Star Maker Ross Wilson has been in charge of transfers since October 2019 with the only fee brought in since then being the £185,000 that Hull City paid for Greg Docherty.

Morelos is currently in Brazil watching the Copa America from the Colombian bench. With Kemar Roofe banned for four UEFA matches there is little chance of Morelos being sold even if a genuine offer was ever made.
