Ange Postecoglou will be at Lennoxtown next week according to a report in The Sun.

It seems a very ambitious timetable with the Australian still to enter Scotland and apparently without a Work Permit and the required UEFA Pro coaching licence.

Celtic face a massive rebuild for next season with the draw for the Champions League Second Round qualifier taking place tomorrow with the matches played on June 20/21 and 27/28.

David Friel broke the news of Neil Lennon’s resignation in February, now The Sun reports:

SunSport understands Celts hope Postecoglou will be free from quarantine on arriving at Lennoxtown next week. The Aussie took charge of Yokohama F. Marinos for the final time last week.

Celtic then began the process of getting Postecoglou into Scotland and are understood to be making progress. The non-international Hoops players are set to report on Friday for pre-season testing.

John Kennedy will take the squad initially and will be assisted by Gavin Strachan and Stephen McManus. But Postecoglou will be in position long before Celtic depart for a pre-season camp in Wales in early July.

It seems that no moves have been made by Postecoglou to bring in any backroom staff with the Australian taking on the package that Neil Lennon left in February.

With the squad returning for training on Friday it will become obvious if Leigh Griffiths and Anthony Ralston are to be part of Postecoglou’s plans.

Much of the decisions to be made will be dependent on Kris Ajer and Odsonne Edouard with both regulars tipped for big money moves this summer.
