Six Scotland stars left out of the flights to and from Portugal in midweek will join six Celtic players flying to Luxembourg today.

Following John Fleck’s positive test on Tuesday the SFA fell silent about other players falling back on a brief statement that everyone else had tested negative.

Without any known medical qualifications Steve Clarke announced that he was 99.9% certain that Fleck had been infected before last Friday’s flight from Glasgow to Alicante.

It wasn’t until lunchtime of Wednesday that news got out that six players hadn’t travelled to Faro for the match against Holland with the SFA passing the action off as a precaution.

James Forrest, Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie, David Turnbull, Greg Taylor and Jack Hendry will be on the flight to Luxembourg with the Daily Record revealing:

Record Sport understands the six players who were left out of Wednesday’s draw with the Dutch all returned negative test results again on Friday.

John McGinn, Nathan Patterson, Che Adams, Grant Hanley, Stephen O’Donnell and David Marshall are now set to face Luxembourg on Sunday. But Fleck is still waiting to get the all-clear after sparking a panic having tested positive earlier in the week.

The Scotland squad will fly back afternoon the match tomorrow for a few days off, it is unclear whether the Scottish Government will check over travel details that will have included five flights and three hotels over a 10 day period.
