J Soccer Magazine has billed today’s Yokohama Marinos v Honda Emperor Cup match as the Ange Postecoglou send off.

For 11 days, covering two Yokohama fixtures, there has been speculation linking the Australian with a move to Celtic but there seems to be an extra emphasis around today’s cup tie which kicks-off at 10am Celtic Park Time.

J Soccer Magazine has 8,000 Twitter followers and is entirely produced in English.

Celtic haven’t made any comment on the appointment of a manager since confirming that Eddie Howe had called off talks about taking over from Neil Lennon.

It is now over 100 days since the Irishman resigned with non-international players returning for pre-season training a week tomorrow.

Should Postecoglou jump on a plane after today’s match he will arrive in Scotland at some stage on Thursday and have to undergo 10 days in Quarantine.

Issues relating to a Work Permit and UEFA Pro Coaching Licence will have to be addressed while players like Kris Ajer, Odsonne Edouard and Olivier Ntcham seem to be on their way out of the club.

With Peter Lawwell stepping down in three weeks and Head of Football Operations Nick Hammond leaving at the end of March it is unclear who would be involved in recruiting new players.
