Celtic fans are railing against the flow of stories telling them how wonderful Ange Postecoglou is.
The Yokohama Marinos boss is the hot favourite to become the next Celtic manager with an apparent campaign trying to convince fans of how lucky they are to be getting the former Australian international boss.
Sky Sports managed to get Adam Peacock of Australian channel Fox Sports to claim that Postecoglou is the best kept secret in management.
Should Ange Postecoglou be offered the Celtic job?
Yes, we have to trust the club, they know their job
No, the club has lost the plot, demonstrated by this and Lennon
Even with the best will in the world a 55-year-old that took his nation to the World Cup Finals seven years ago without getting an offer to manage in Europe clearly isn’t rated in the mainstream of the game.
Postecoglou’s record in Australia earned the interest and an offer from Yokohama Marinos, since moving to Japan his side have finished 12th, 1st and 9th in the J League.
Winning a title is always to be respected, Ronny Deila won two of them but if Postecoglou had some outstanding ability he’d have had an offer from a club in one of the top 10 European Leagues and the chance to get a foothold at the sharp end of the game.
Jesse Marsch comes from a similar footballing nation, American coaches in Europe are thin on the ground but through his UEFA Pro Licence he been an assistant at RB Leipzig, won two titles at RB Salzburg and is expected to be named as the new boss back at RB Leipzig. At the age of 47.
Postecoglou isn’t yet a done deal with Celtic, it will take more than Adam Peacock to convince their fans that the hoops are getting the best end of the deal for ‘the best kept secret in management’
??”Celtic fans are blowing up about it while Rangers are happy.” @adampeacock3 from Fox Sports Australia gives an insight into what Ange Postecoglou could bring to Celtic and believes those who are writing him off could be proved wrong?

think we can maybe calm it with the ringing endorsements from elite managers. Pep and Rodgers were both on pre-season tours playing absolute minnows so duty-bound to say something nice. Also Pep works for the same company so would big him up anyway

An Australian banging the drum for an Australian coach…. Heard these exact same words spoken about Pedro Caixinha and Paul Le Guen. Honestly lads, if he’s the best we can attract we’re in deep sh*t. He’s the sort of guy you’d see at Hearts, Maybe Motherwell, not Celtic ffs cmon
