Tim Cahill has sent his congratulations to Ange Postecoglou after his former international boss was named as Celtic’s new manager.
The former Everton midfielder is perhaps the most successful ever Australian footballer, playing for eight years in the EPL and appearing in the World Cup Finals of 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 while picking up 108 international caps.
Cahill currently has no active role in football with a number of business and media interests across the world with his playing career tailing off in the USA, India and China after his departure from Everton.
Congratulations and best of luck Boss. https://t.co/dBMGJkrVa8

Do you think Ange Postecoglou will win the 21/22 SPFL Premiership title?
Yes, I'm all in, the bounce back is underway
No, Ange is walking into a club in turmoil
It is four years since Postecoglou was Cahill’s boss, yesterday there was no mention of backroom staff for Postecoglou despite Celtic being a week away from pre-season training.
Vasilis Barkas is the only player that started the 0-0 draw away to Hibs on May 15 that is due back at Lennoxtown with the remainder involved in international matches or returning to their parent club after loan spells at Celtic. Scott Brown has moved on to join Aberdeen.
