Brian Wilson is the latest target for the Green Brigade as Celtic’s search for a manager continues.

Peter Lawwell was the target on Day 1 of the protest, with the main characters already highlighted the spotlight is turning on the chorus line with Wilson a non-executive director for 15 years.

What contribution he makes is hard to determine, a non-executive is expected to question the board of a range of issues to ensure that best practise is always being followed.

With no manager, no Head of Football Operations and a handover at Chief Executive Officer level it is a difficult to imagine a more chaotic time in the structure of the club this century. All on Wilson’s watch.

The former Labour MP is a member of the Remuneration Committee, alongside Tom Allison and Ian Bankier that decides on salaries including the incredible £3.5m that Peter Lawwell picked up in season 2018/19 despite Celtic crashing out of the Champions League to AEK Athens at the Third Qualifying Round.

Wilson does enjoy a profile in the media with a regular column in The Scotsman, recently he wrote for The Herald about why the law of the land should have been overlooked to accommodate the carnage inflicted on Glasgow city centre by celebrating Ibrox fans.
