Albian Ajeti captains a very youthful Celtic side in Ange Postecoglou’s first match in charge, against Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon, kick off 3pm.

Stephen Welsh and Vasilis Barkas are the only survivors from the final match of last season as Celtic step out for a new era with an Australian in charge for the first time.

Dane Murray, Adam Montgomery and Owen Moffat come into the side which also includes Kerr McInroy and Ewan Henderson who were on loan at Dunfermline last season. Liam Shaw starts against the club that he left in May.

The defence is completely recast with Welsh the most experienced defender available. Tony Ralston makes a very rare appearances, Murray goes into central defence alongside Welsh with Montgomery starting ahead of Boli Bolingoli at left-back.

Today’s match consists of three periods of 30 minutes with wholesale substitutes expected from both sides.
