Celtic have announced the transfer of Kris Ajer to Brentford.
Although no fee was mentioned by the club it is believed that a fee in the region of £13m has been agreed for the Norwegian defender.
With a year left to run on his contract a departure always seemed likely. FK Start almost certainly had a sell-on clause on the 2016 transfer of the defender but Celtic should be banking over £10m from the move.
Thank you for the #QuadrupleTreble memories Kris, and best of luck for the future! ?

Since the turn of the year Celtic have brought in close to £30m from the sales of Jeremie Frimpong, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Patryk Klimala, Vakoun Bayo and Jack Hendry with Ajer the latest to swell the coffers.
Carl Starfelt is expected to join Celtic from Rubin Kazan but as things stand they are short on options in central defence with Stephen Welsh, Dane Murray the only options with Nir Bitton under scrutiny after last night’s red card.
