Celtic were quick to share their joy as Kyogo Furuhashi scored on his farewell appearance for Vissel Kobe.
The Celtic bound winger opened the scoring in the 29th minute against Cerezo Osaka following news of his £4.6m move to Scotland.
It was something of a surprise when Furuhashi was named to start the match but his appearance and goal provide reassurance that he is fit and on form for his arrival in Europe.

Celtic fans will be watching closely the timetable of his arrival with the club able to make two changes before 11pm on Monday to the squad registered with UEFA for the Champions League ties against Midtjylland.
Quarantine regulations would almost certainly rule Furuhashi out of the first leg but with the return match not to be played until July 28 there is an outside chance that he could feature at some stage in Denmark.
