Celtic are reported to have made an offer of 4m euros for Aaron Hickey. The initial report appears in the print edition of il Resto del Carlino which has more than 50,000 Twitter followers.
Such a move would be an incredible piece of business for a teenager that was in the Celtic Academy as recently as 2018. Hickey felt that his best pathway to first team football was to take up an offer from Hearts, ending his first season at Tynecastle with an appearance in the Scottish Cup Final against Celtic.

??????? | Aaron Hickey
Celtic have submitted a bid of €4M for Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey.
The 19 year old was a regular for the Serie A side until a combination of COVID-19 & injury ended his season.

Last year Craig Levein claimed that Celtic had made five or six bids to resign Hickey but in the end he moved to Bologna for £1m with Celtic believed to have had a 30% sell-on clause.
Since he made the move to Hearts Celtic have brought in Boli Bolingoli, Greg Taylor, Andrew Gutman and Diego Laxalt with only former Kilmarnock man Taylor having any sort of success.
In Serie A Hickey has made 11 appearances but it seems that Bologna could be in line for a very tidy profit on their Scottish teenager.
